Design an original album cover for a real or fictional album using Procreate. Your cover should reflect the music's genre, mood, and message through thoughtful use of color, imagery, typography, and composition.

Assignment Requirements

1. Choose Your Album

Select one of the following:

• A real album you love (any artist, any genre)

• A fictional album you create (you decide the artist name, album title, and genre)

Write down:

• Artist name

• Album title

• Genre

• 2-3 words describing the mood/theme

2. Design Your Cover

Your album cover must include:

✓ Original artwork (drawings, paintings, photos, or mixed media)

✓ Album title (clearly readable typography)

✓ Artist name (clearly readable)

✓ Color palette that matches the mood (at least 3 colors)

✓ Composition that is balanced and visually interesting

✓ One design principle applied intentionally (see list below)

3. Design Principles to Consider

Choose at least one to emphasize in your cover:

• Balance — Symmetrical or asymmetrical arrangement of elements

• Emphasis — A clear focal point that draws the eye

• Contrast — Different colors, sizes, or textures that stand out

• Movement — Visual flow that guides the viewer's eye

• Unity — Elements that work together as a cohesive whole
